Circuit-bending/modigy guitar pedals

Post by Brett Siler » Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:48 pm

So i was looking at this topic on a guitar for called guitargeek.com and it was about modifying guitar pedals. It got me so pysched that I busted out my Dan-electo Fabtone (I never used it I though it sounded graining and shitty and not in a good way). Man did I have some fun! I found a really cool Contact bend (you can just touch the circuit if you hand or anything to conduct electricty and change the sound) that had this weird harmonic fluttering. I also found some bend that produced massive amounts of distortion, and one that had a tremelo effect.

Has anyone else tried anything like this?

There are apparently some good Small Clone mods. And there's this:

Yeah I have heard about the small clone. It sounded pretty good. The bends that I am finding sound alot more destructive because it's a distortion petal. I found some more really cool bends last night that I am definiatly gonna keep. I think I will post some sound files soon also.
