any problems with interference from wireless keyboards?

Post by joninc » Wed Nov 02, 2005 1:02 pm

i got a wireless keyboard and mouse but am leary to set them up in case they produce any interference - anybody know if that happens or not? (you know the way cell phones cause that annoying beeping) - let me know.

it would be cool to have it hooked up if it's no problem.

i had 4 kensington wireless turbo mice. i kept having it replaced because it would stop working and finally got a wired one. i attributed it to all the computer/cordless phone/apple airport/stereo/amp/harddrives and stuff i had within the same 2 foot radius.

i'm sure that a wireless keyboard & mouse *could* interfere in the opposite way too.

I had a wireless mouse that would "beep" and/or "buzz" when I was clicking away. It didn't go on to the recorded audio but I could definitely hear it thru headphones, even at low level. Since then I've gone back to being wired.

I use an Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse and have zero interference or noise.

I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse (just regular ol wireless, not bluetooth) sitting about 1.5 ft from my mic pre's and monitor amp, no interference to speak of either way.
