Multiple Moogerfooger chains?
Just recently picked up the Moogerfooger ring-mod. In addition to it, I have the lowpass filter. The two of them together form a little baby modular synth. Pretty awesome.
I've been playing with doing some routing between them. One of my faves is splitting the signal-to-be-effected into both of them, and using only the env-out from the LPF and routing that to the frequency of the carrier signal on the ring-mod.
I've also done some experiments with using the env-out off of LPF to control effects parameters on a digital signal processor I have that has a CV input, which is kinda hysterical.
Anyone else using Moogerfoogers? Cool routings?
I kinda really want an Analog delay -- the fact that it has a send/return on the wet signal is pretty hep.

Audio through mic pre= MORE juice. I have gotten things to track in totally insane ways just gaining up audio like crazy and blasting it into CV inputs on various thingies...pscottm wrote:CV = voltage

CV rules
Also, getting arpeggiator type of responses with a delay into a mic pre on a click track sent into CV inputs....

No routing info here, but the guitar player in my band has all of the Mooger Frooger pedals including their newer delay. Pure insanity! I can not wait untill we start mixing our recording so we can torture some sounds. Mooger Froogers and weed = funtimes.
I know enough to know that I don't know what I am doing.

The range of CV on the Moogerfoogers is 05v. Am I likely to blow anything up by running audio signals into CV inputs?
Eh?
Realized that I meant to type 0-5v.
What is the range of audio signals in voltage?

Murf didn't strike me as super-useful at first, cuz I was thinking of it as a series of low-pass filters. But it ain't -- its a series of fixed filters. Fixed filters have been really intriguing to me recently. I may end up with one. The enveloping is also kinda funky and weird, and not like much else.

+4 is 1.23 volts. Thats what i meant, sarcastically. You wont blow anything up...apropos of nothing wrote:joel hamilton wrote:I wish...apropos of nothing wrote:Hmm. I've meant to find out more about that.

It seems to me a lot like a Seek Wah, but we'll see.apropos of nothing wrote:inverseroom wrote:My bandmate is getting the rackmount kit with I think the delay, the filter, and the murf. We will be fucking up some sounds live, I can tell you. Will report.

Hmmm. May have to play with using audio as frequency-CV. Audio FM, woohoo!

The click track/delay as arpeggiator has been one of my favorites for a while.
Check out the keyboard thingy (CS-15 is what I used) in the song "leaving" here:

This is the other synth I was rocking with click track as CV from a mic pre...
The raw circuit board to the left is a custom Tube three band optical EQ with an 8 step analog sequencer to modulate the mid frequency....
The console synth thing the right is made by a guy here in the 'hood named Brian Dewan. He is amazing. He is making a couple of models now. This one is the prototype, simply called the "model A."

i picked up the murf pedal about 3 weeks ago. very cool and lots of interesting sounds, tremelos, sci-fi gurgling, octave like stuff, etc etc etc. i'm probably just dense but even though i know what each of the controls do i still have no idea what the hell it will actually sound like until i actually hear it! i love it!
