I know, wierd choice. The thing doesnt sound bad though, it takes a lot to hear that chip, testament to greg being one of the better designers out there. I never quite got why he did that but some people are into IC's I guess the way that Im not...

The ocl-2 is %100 tube and is really a box to marvel at. My biggest knock for greg is that his front panels have a kind of utility look to them, if you didnt know those things were the most awesome boxes around, you might quickly overlook them which is kind of a bummer.

I would say at this point, out of all the new gear out there, pendulum is really leading the pack and is one of few actual designers making stuff. His audio company is an audio company, its not a marketing machine selling audio products... Two thumbs up for pendulum.
