Portland TapeOp people unite! Saturday Jan 28th ?8?pm

Post by slochldrnplayin » Sun Nov 06, 2005 3:43 pm

It seems to be settled. We will be gathering at the Lucky Lab Pub in SE Portland on Saturday January 28th. From talking to a couple people, it seems that 8pm is a good starting time. If you are a bit early you can always have a bite to eat. The food is good and cheap.

The address of the Lab is 915 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Where's Portland? If anyone does a get together drop me a line (larry@tapeop.com). I've been out of town a lot, and will through DEc/Jan, but would try to attend!

I've already thought of the tshirt thing. I thought up the last place, so let's hear of some other ideas for meeting places. I hear that there is a great blues bar over in Oregon City (Trails end???)

I'd even be willing to run a carpool with others if they needed a ride and were in SE PDX.

Larry, you are always on the invite list, and I thought I left a message for you the last PDX beer night. I'll keep you posted.

I'd love to attend and will try my hardest to be there, whenever and whereever it might be.

Yes, maybe

I have been going to school over here at PCC for couple years, studying this thing we call recording...and am always looking for people to talk to about it. I am also a new father, though, but would try to make it to any B.S. session that was in existance.

I'm kinda new to portland so I have few suggestions for places and might rather get turned on to somewhere new.

I like wimpy's and the town lounge in NW. town lounge is a little larger but wimpy's has the jacobites.

Yamhill pub is pretty central.

I'm in Corvallis, but would be up for a trip to Portland for a get-together. I'm in town quite a bit anyway.

sounds like we might have a better turn out than last time.

How about Trails End bar in Oregon City? I hear it's a good blues type bar, and they have cheap drinks.

How is everyones schedule for say a saturday night (doesn't have to be this weekend) ? Around 7:30 for a start time?

Did this ever happen? Of course, I was out of town that night. Any plans for another get together?

Yeah, no kidding. I've been in Portland for a few months now...wish I had watched the board for the hangout.

Another one, maybe?

This get together hasn't happened yet. Still waiting for people to say when would be a good night. I know that some of us have real jobs, and that whole holiday and family thing gets most as well.

Would it be worth it to try and get something going before the holidays? Or would it be better to wait until after the jolly ol' fat man comes?

So it is after the holidays now. I am pretty new to town but I think that we should get together. I havn't really been to any bars yet so I have no suggestion. Someone speak up. Rok und rol.
