Anybody know Jason Wells up there?? He's a pretty good kat that used to work down here in the dirty south. I think when he first got up that way he worked at a post house called Digital One, but I believe he now has his own studio doing music recording and org. scoring for for broadcast TV & Indie film. Just curious....

How about Saturday the 28th? The next question would be where... Last time we went to Lucky Lab. It's a pretty big place, and they have good drinks (leaded as well as unleaded). The other place that I have been wanting to check out is Trails End over in Oregon City. Everyone keeps telling me they have killer live music, but I am not sure if that would be the ideal place to get together to talk shop. Opinions?

Seeing as how I'm in Washougal, the more centrally located, the better chance of me being able to show up. :-) I vote for the Lucky Lab, or something in that general vicinity.

By the way Pete, the MP20 is working out great. Just ordered some Burr-Browns to swap out and am looking forward to the sonic improvements.

I knew you would dig it. I do miss it and if you ever decide to sell it I want first dibs! When you get it modded gimmie a shout and we can get together to A/B it with some other stuff if you are down.

If nobody objects to the lab in the next day or so, then that is where it will be. I'll be sure to wear my TapeOp shirt so nobody can say they didn't find us this time!

Alright, I will let you know if I do ever sell it. It and my EH 12AY7 are my go-to pres now though, and I predict that once the burr-browns are in there I will most likely want to weld that thing into my rack!

I have the 28th on my calendar and will give the wife plenty of advance notice. What time will the gathering begin?

It seems to be settled. We will be gathering at the Lucky Lab Pub in SE Portland on Saturday January 28th. From talking to a couple people, it seems that 8pm is a good starting time. If you are a bit early you can always have a bite to eat. The food is good and cheap.

The address of the Lab is 915 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Look for the TapeOp shirts

It was good to finally put a face to a user! I'd like to see this become a regular thing. I'd be down to meet up again, just name the place and time.
