Melodyne question

Post by Whitney » Sun Nov 06, 2005 6:54 pm

Has anyone used melodyne before? If so how does it compare with Autotune? I've heard some comments saying that it is better. I use autotune at work. I tried to download the demo online but my mac doesn't recognize the sit file. Therefore I have no idea if it is worth buying. Thanks

Melodyne is pretty sweet. It is no fun to use on the fly, though. I find it best to use it as a standalone, and have a 2+ button mouse as you will need to switch between the tools quickly. I think it allows for a more natural correction process than autotune, but each has its advantages.

I wish I never had to use either!

Best,
H
