OT: Motocaster/The Mice

Post by lobstman » Wed Nov 09, 2005 6:27 am

Sorry for posting this here, but I wanted to put it where it had the best chance of being seen. I'll be a good boy in the future, I promise.

Right before the board went down, I arranged a CD swap with a fellow Tapeopper- I lost all the PMs from that period in the great hack, and I don't remember his name.

Anyway, the Mice CD just came. It rocks, thanks!

Sorry Dave- The Mice is the band I got sent in return.

All I remember is that he was from Lakewood, OH. Mike, maybe?

The Mice were a great 80's band, powerpop/punk, tight but sloppy enough(!), with great vocals.. Mikey 'bigtoe' hipped me to them, both of their records have been reissued on one disc, I was really pleasantly surprised.

Could be Mike. I haven't seen him around since the board came back up. Maybe I'll shoot him an email.

Dave, I was wondering if it might have been you.

Wow... I recorded the mice way back when.
I think they were from Florida originally.
Replacements type of thing.
A really nice guy named Joe was the singer.
They had some good songs.
