reamping

hey
anybody know how i would go about reamping audio using a tascam us 122?

its got some inserts. could i use those? or maybe run an insert with a sansamp?
would that do much?
thanks in advance!

also what reamps or sansamps do you recommend?

It appears from their literature that the only way to run out to "reamp" a guitar with a real amp is to put your mix into mono [hard left or hard right] and use the second output to send the signal to the "re-amp" device [of which there are a plethora of choices... my favorites are made by Littlelabs but there are some from other companies like "Radial" and coincidentally "reamp"].

According to what I read, there are only the two outputs so you'll need to use one of them as a send to an amp, then you will have to record that amp to a track if you want to get a stereo mix from the thing.

I hate every sans amp and "amp farm" like plugin I've ever met... but there are those that swear by them... I generally hate their recordings, but then again, I'm not in the target demographic for their music so my taste is irrelevant to the proceeding.
