Digi 001 EXTINCT?

Is this true? I have been using a Digi 001 and PT 5 (OS9) and am upgrading to OSX, but people keep saying "The Digi 001 is no longer supported." Does this mean if I get the new version of PT I can't use my 001 at all? If so, bullocks to Digidesign.

Yes.

The last version to support a 001 box is 6.4 for OS-X.

I've been surviving just fine for the last few years.

Upgrade to 6.4 and you'll be fine. You can even use the new free digi-rack plug ins and they work fine with it and they sound alot better than the old digi rack stuff.

Thanks for the help people. So how do I upgrade to 6.4 when the current version is 7? I have the PT5 discs and serial#, but can I dl PT 6.4 from their site as an upgrade? Anyone? Thanks again.

You can buy it from thier online store. $35 I think. They mail you a CD and you get to dload the software too.
