I am starting a new job at a studio!

Post by Brett Siler » Mon Nov 14, 2005 12:49 pm

I just got hired at a local studio/guitar learning center. For now I am just the front desk clerk but I was interviewed by the owner and he was interested in me working as an engineer. I am bringing in a cd of some recent work of mine for him to listen to.

I start to day and I am excited. What are some suggestions that you guys have for some trying to work their way up into working from front desk clerk to engineer?

be professional and proficient at whatever you have to do... i'm sure if he likes the recording you brought in, you'll have a pretty easy time getting in as an engineer unless they're already overstaffed by engineers. good luck and have fun!
