Ethan: I don't have v5, but I normally use v4 such that it does per-project folders. With this setup, when you import an audio file, there is a check box labeled something like 'Copy audio to project folder' (I'm not at my DAW, so I can't get the exact wording). By properly setting this check box it is possible to avoid the copying of the audio file, thus saving time and disk space.
