Neumann Schematics

Post by joel hamilton » Wed Nov 23, 2005 11:58 am

Does anyone have, or know where I can get a schematic for a FET47 and a TLM170?

neumann is not very forthcoming with this information....

I don't think the info will ever be released, you have to catch one of the designers and torture him until the info comes out. If you catch one let me know

I know it. I am sure it is an awesome way to keep anyone from making copies. Seems to have worked out really well for them... as usual, awesome "security measures" only penalize people that actually paid money for the product.

Joel,

Don't be that unfair (at least re: FET47). :D

schematics arent a big deal, you can have all the documentation in the world and you still are not gonna be able to build a mic that sounds halfway decent without having a capsule that sounds as good as the neumann or an output transformer of significant quality. I honestly cant see neumannn caring one way or another who has a shematic, its not like a fuzz box where you have a schematic and can build a clone, this is a totally different ballpark.
