Wall racks for keyboards?

Standtastic used to make a system for mounting synths on the wall (saving a lot of floor space & making for a more 'permanent' installation,) but apparently it's out of production.
Another thing I'd like to do in my new control room...
Any ideas who might make such items?

How do they do it at music stores? They seem to have a lot of keyboards on the wall.

That's exactly the question I have: how do they do it at music stores? Anyone know the source of those parts? I figure they must be standard parts for a slat wall (what I've usually seen...)

I'd do the drawers thing, but that would eat up too much square footage in the control room...

Slat walls and racks for them can be found at Display Stores. Poke around online.

I've found tons of places that carry all the usual slat wall racks, shelves, etc, etc stuff for common retail items, but none that have keyboard attachments.

i work at a music store, and our wall keyboard arms come from String Swing, i believe. keep in mind that for the heavier, 88 key weighted stuff, you may want to look into steel reinforcement for the wall and the slats... otherwise the slatwall rips right off.

looks like you can order straight from the company. they also make some cool rackmount arms for all your outboard.

Yeah! That's one of the things I was looking for. Thanks.
I've decided that it's either a slatwall like that (advantage: very flexible and expandable) or modify my old Ultimate Support Systems A-Frame to work on vertical pipes (advantage: looks way cool and industrial. heh.)
We'll see what the space dictates as the build continues.
I am happy.

It sounds like you found the answer to your question, but I just wanted to add that mounting keyboards in a perfect vertical stack often makes them very difficult to program. If you are using simple things like Clavinets or Rhodes, or synths with heavily sloped control panels like the Korg PS/MS stuff you are good, but if it's a menu-based synth or a synth with a ton of knobs you might find it a bit of a pain in the ass.
But if you used your A-frame stuff then you would be able to angle the synth so that the control panel is visible.
You likely have already considered this, though.

Pulse, yeah -I've thought about it. Certain machines will be higher on the stand to facilitate viewing of the LCD... others lower down. I don't mind sitting on the floor to tweak knobs every now and then, too...
