Wow, what a room. Though Sir George's position seems to be floating three feet over the stairs.

I also wouldn't mind having a U47 hovering in front of my face all the time. That's what that is, right?

Did anyone catch the dozen or so tube mic PSU's that are hanging out in front of the mic panel? Practically EVERYTHING there is a tube mic! Two mics on Ringos kit, dig it!

update...
if your character is "Ringo"
and you hit "Studio Info"
it takes you to a page that gives info on the drums

if your character is "Paul"
it takes you to a page that gives info on "your" bass guitar

ect for the rest of the band....

and ringo only has a ribbon overhead and a D20 on his kit...

2 mics on a drum kit anyone...

50 ft fookin ceilings...
goddamn

>>>what if it's accurate...?>>>

It's a great effect, but no, it's not accurate.

The 'room' is a set of photos taken in the 2002-era, not quite like it looked in the 60s, but they did a cool trick making it black and white. The band shots are old photos - you never get to zoom around the guys in this setup, as they are 2-dimesnional.

You'll never see Ringo set up in that part of the room, nor the other guys splayed around like that - it was necessary to give you 4 good views around the room. Lots of mistakes in the details of the text too, but it's just for show and fun, not meant to be a serious historical thing! It gives you a sense of the room space, but NOT how the Beatles recorded...

They're probably more like 25-30' ceilings. Still HUGE no matter how 'ya slice it!

I'm sure that some of what's there is semi-accurate. Reading George Martins book "All you need is Ears" he talked about using gobo's around the drums and they all tracked in the same room..,
