I've taken a pair of old shooting/hunting ear muffs and glued some headphone drivers in them. I used hot glue. Had to pull the foam seal off around the cup and notched out a place for the wires. The speakers had a rigid mesh glued to them so I just left them that way. They are the pair that gets used when the mic is really hot and you don't want lots of headphone bleed. They sound kinda crappy because the seal is so good and the drivers used to be mounted open back. Have fun.
