actually this is an addition, if you will to my previous paia mic pre
mod question.
the question being: am i correctly assuming the "junction" that they
are referring to is the one i am thinking of.
even more specifically they refer to this junction that involves one diode,
one electrolitic capicitor and one resistor.
so it seems anyway obvious to me that this junction that they refer to
would be this inch long signal pathway winding diagonally an inch or so
from the left lead of the diode to the left(neg. i think) lead of the cap.,
where the right lead is almost touching the left lead of the resistor. those
two could very easily be point to point.
the reason for all of this is to improve the noise floor by heating it with
filtered dc. "to achieve this, disconnect pin 4 from the ac supply, and
connect a 1w 15-ohm resistor from pin four to the junction of d2,c3,
and r2. this is the negative side of the power supply".
sos assuming i have this junction identified correctly i would what!?: just
work that resistor like a jumper and have it span the left lead of the diode
to the left lead of the cap. with that wire from pin four just like soldered
on to one of the leads of the resistors.
i know this is propably obvious to most experienced circuit folks out there
but i just really don't want to take any chances with this thing.
any input much appreciated,
mark
