selecting "on the fly" in logic pro 7

anybody know the shortcut? damn pro tools at school is really not helping with using logic at home

you mean channel select? try 'page up' / 'page down' (the little arrows on your keyboard)

no i meant selecting a part of a region like you can do in PT...

marquis tool. looks like a '+'. you can define any hotkey you want to get there. just open Key Commands and set it.

can you do that during playback though?

i guess i mean like in protools where you hit the down arrow to specify the start of the selection and hit the up arrow to specify the end of the selection...
