This is the mastering test from Doug Henderson, but in MP3 form.

Awesome.
Matthias obviously rocks!
Can you give details on the drums. Like is the snare reamped (reverb etc). The drums sounds work well in the dense mayhem.
The song is what math-rock should be.
"Play ethnicky jazz to parade your snazz. On your five grand stereo."

Snare is not reamped at all. Just drums, with room mics and close mics.

The drum "verb" is a little bit room, a little bit verb box ambience, manipulated (filtered/compressed verb return).

Carla B sang the song, I have NO clue what the hell she is going on about in the middle section. That was only partly "written" in that middle.

The "bedspring guitar" is just a prepared electric guitar that sounds like bedsprings to me. With little tiny clips and springs attatched to the guitar strings near the bridge. It is in the "quiet" midlle part of that song.

Not for a while. We will have pre-release CD's early in the new year, but that is when the PR campaign starts,.. Actual release date should be in the summer...

Half the band lives there, as they are in a band called sleepytime gorilla museum based out of oakland.

Fucking cathartic!

The whole new BOK record fucking rules......heard most of it in Brooklyn. I secretly hoped Joel would slide a lil' copy-copy under the table. I hinted and hinted but Joel just gave that maniacal grin and took cigarette breaks. Dammit. What a hard ass.

When's it gonna be available, Joel? I wanted it then and I want it now! I demand it. Seriously...can't wait. There are some seriously cool guest spots....one I particularly love....is this hush-hush?

Carla is a musical Goddess.

It is like a cross between a guitar, and something with 8 strings. ;)

It also has movable frets, like loops of fiber around the neck, so you can move tham and tune the intervals... totally weird. Trey plays the thing. I dont know much about it beyond that it was crazy. Turkish thingy...
