Anybody in the MARSH CaPE III song contest?

Post by rolandk » Sun Dec 04, 2005 5:33 pm

I'm on Team Interstate and we just submitted our song. It was really fun and turned out pretty good. I did the guitars and background vocs.

For those of you not familiar with the contest, people sign up in August and list the instruments they play and/or if they want to write, mix, produce, or master the song. The entrants are split up into teams and given 3 months to write, record, and mix. Each person tracks on their own and ftp's up to a web site where everyone on the team has access. It then gets mastered and submitted to the contest. There is no actual 'winner', its just for fun and bragging rights.

I played bass on Team Downbeat. We got our song in, and it sounds pretty cool.

This is my second time with the CaPE - pretty fun, kind of scary with the deadlines and such too.
