Books on digital audio

Post by nickp » Mon Dec 05, 2005 2:01 pm

I am looking to read up on digital audio. I am a professional live sound guy looking for more info on DA; I am looking for something pretty technical (but not books with code in it or anything like tha javascript:emoticon(':)')t). I see a coupla titles on Amazon, like "Principles of Digital Audio" (Ken Pohlman), "Digital Audio Essentials (Bruce Fries), or "The Art of Digital Audio" (John Watkinson).

Anybody heard of or read any of these, or any others that can be recomended?

Thanks

I haven't gotten all the way through it yet, but so far "Mastering Audio" by Bob Katz seems to be an amazing book with regards to digital audio. For more info, check out his website: www.digido.com
