PM1000 racking..
sooo anyone have a parts list for recapping/racing input modules...
i know this is lazy....but what the hell....digikey/mouser order forms fill me with dread...
also anyone actually know how much current these things draw?
actually any info on the process no matter how mundane will help me out as this is my first real diy project....
oh please please...
thanks in advance...

Sorry,
yeah, Nichicon PW's. I always goof that up. PW's in the PM. You know what you should do rock, is order enough PW's, HE's (another Nichicon that I think are awesome) and some Panasonic FC's (which everyone else seems to like, but I happen not to) and just recap a channel with each, record, listen, and repeat. It's pretty astounding how different the Panasonics sound from the Nichicons, and I think it's worth the extra pain in the ass and 10 or 15 bucks or whatever you pay for another two channels of caps.
I'm not sure you can get all the small values in the HE's by the way. I filled those in with the corresponding PW's when I did a comparison. The HE's sound pretty smooth to my ears. You might like those best.
By the way, the mouser part names for the Nichicon caps have, if you should order from them, are UPW and UHE.

Okay,
here's the digikey part number for a 47uF/50V Nichicon PW, which you'll need a ton of:
493-1896-ND
an HE 56uF/50V (there aren't any HE 47uF/50V's): 493-1604-ND
A Panasonic FC 47uF/50V: P10321-ND
So, I hope these help.
I'm not gonna look up the part number for every cap. But maybe that will get you started in finding them on digikey's site.
Everything you need is available in PW or FC. Like I said though, some of the smaller values in the echo send section, like 4.7uF/25V aren't available in HE, so you'll have to fill those in with another kind of cap if you're going to do an HE channel.
Rock, you should just call up digikey asap and have them send you a catalog. It is probably a million times easier than trying to find this stuff online.
