M-Powered Pro Tools vs LE/TDM

Post by john f » Mon Dec 12, 2005 9:55 am

While doing some research on the differences between M-audio's new Pro Tools and Pro Tools (Digidesign) LE, I read a review where it stated that besides less tracks and plug-ins, the M-audio version doesn't have latency correction as found in TDM versions of Pro Tools. I thought the latest of versions of Pro Tools LE had latency correction as well?

The only form of latency corection is the Hardware buffer size located in Setup>Playback Engine!! There is no automatic delay compensation (for plugins) in LE & its a silly thing to not include it in ALL versions of the software!!

This should be in the 'Puter World' section

Also I thought that PTMP and PTLE had the same track count - 32.
