"NEW SONIC YOUTH LP FOR 2006: Between tours throughout 2005, SY have been working on new music for their next LP. Initial recording for this new LP has commenced at legendary Sear Sound Studio in NYC."

I thnk they have been there quite a bit.
Anybody got the new "Goo Deluxe"? Disc 2 is all the 8 track demo's, which are supposed to be pretty great. I will be opening it on Christmas morning!
Yes, I am one of THOSE people, up in the attic, trying to recreate the magical sounds of my youth (cheap trick, boston, pavement) on the family 8 track recorder.

I got the new Goo boxset with all the 8 track demo's.

pretty sweet.

They remasterd the album Goo for this set. Still sounds kinda the same to me...maybe a bit briter.

Hey Ben, how much different sounding are the demos? Did they record the demos themselves?
