clicks and pops with delta 44 and sonar 5

Post by vbibber » Sat Dec 17, 2005 4:33 pm

Hi there,

I just bought a delta 44 soundcard and I am experiencing serious problems when recording in sonar 5 with only 1 track. The CPU usage is very instable, varying from 0 to 15 percent. Which sometimes even result in warnings. These are also the moments when clicks/pops are heard in the recording. I've tried almost everything....but nothings works. Does anyone has a clue what the problem could be?? It seems like something is interfering with sonar, but i don't see any other cpu activity than the one from sonar. Latency settings are 'normal', nothing absurd. So it should work.....but it doesnt. I'm using the latest ASIO drivers from M-AUDIO..for the record. Any tips are very welcome! Thanks already!

greetings,
vbibber

Download the update if you havent already. There is a patch to 5.01.

Try it in wdm mode or mme.

drop by the cakewalk forums, lots of info there. There are also lots on the M-Audio site dealing with cracks and pops.
