Derek Bailey RIP

Post by MajorEverettMiller » Mon Dec 26, 2005 8:05 am

I didn't know exactly where to post this, but word has it that Derek Bailey passed away on Christmas day at the age of 75.

Such a brilliant guitarist. He will be missed.

I was lucky enough to see Bailey perform several times, and he had this totally natural, effortless connection to his instrument. It was really beautiful to watch him play, and despite how completely abstract his approach was, it all seemed to make sense as he did it. He was a true master.
