I started the mix for a film that will be on PBS in 2006 and in the upcoming Sundance Film Festival.

So, today (12/29), I had my brother in all day for vocals on his new record. He's done all the drums at outside studios and all the guitars, bass, keys and vocals here. First real day of sessions with the new computer and setup. It went well. We recorded vocals into ProTools using an AKG 414 and an EV 676, both through the Studer mixer...used the built-in compression on the Studer for the EV mic tracks. A very fast, efficient day and everything sounded great.

Also, I'm reading one of my Xmas gifts, a book entitled Practical Art of Motion Picture Sound by David Lewis Yewdall. Highly suggested to those who want to do sound for film at whatever level. I'm learning bunches.

Party or hanging out and watching a movie for an hour before having to head back to the airport and deal with returning said rental car and waiting in a security line for a couple hours?

PS- Actually, in retrospect, we should have taken you up on it. Your airport sucks.
