Wire - Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, 154

Post by cwileyriser » Tue Dec 27, 2005 3:42 pm

Well, I was going to post to ask if anyone knew anything about the recording sessions for the Wire albums Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, or 154. Then I did a Google search and found: http://www.stereosociety.com/wire.html.

Cool.

The navigation on the page isn't exactly intuitive. To get to the pages describing the albums and sessions, click the links labeled To Pink Flag, To Chairs Missing, To 154.

There are also a few MP3's on the site, including recordings of "Lowdown" and "12XU" (which still kicks the ass of 99.9% of punk songs that followed it, in my opinion) from the 1977 Live at the Roxy album (which also includes cuts by X-Ray Spex and the Buzzcocks). The recordings are pretty good; they were done with Virgin Studio's mobile unit.
