I was curious to this as well. Sorry for the hijack but what y\would you recommend for a first timers pre or di? I would like to put together something along the lines of a SCA J99. _________________ WWW.DJRELAX.COM |

The only SCA thing I've built is the N72, so I can't speak directly to the J99, but Tim's instructions on the N72 were pretty thorough--if you have some basic solder skills and you both possess and utilize patience, the Seventh Circle stuff shouldn't be too tough.
The overall award for most thorough kit instructions/best put together kits would probably go to MOTM. Of course, if you're not looking to put together a modular synth, MOTM probably wouldn't be the best starting point.
