RhythmBoard

it's large size pliable paper board. i was thinking of using it as a diffussor of sorts on a long wall in my studio; randomly bending and shaping it to make my flat wall nice and curvy.

what to y'all think?

From the web site, it looks like that stuff was designed to be decorative, not with acoustics in mind. People are using it to make chairs, FFS.

Even so, if it's rugged enough to make chairs out of, it will exhibit acoutic properties, too.

I did a little "investigating" and this stuff comes in various thickness. Just thinking, I don't know for sure, but if you were to make little " polycylinder" type bends with this along the wall/ceiling, you might get some benefit! Especially with the different petrusions heights. Maybe even glue some insulation behind it for some absorption?... ..Oh yeah...it's kinda expensive..! For a 78" (W) x 204" (L) sheet.( comes in rolls) ..........$551.00 ( quoted from one of the reps).. :o ..Oh well......back to the DIY bass traps!....
