You must know that I grew up listening to Skinny Puppy and Crass.
But having heard a bunch of the most recent Dolly Parton album on my local college station recently, I have to tell you:
If you record music, you must listen to this album. This is the way music should sound.
Its an album of '60s covers.
I just can't believe how awesome it is. The vocals are perfect in every way. The instruments are traditional bluegrass, though the arrangements are more spare and country-like than y'r average banjo-honking.
But the recording is sooooo lovely. Its so upfront and unfiltered and pure-sounding.
Give it a listen! You will not be disappointed. [/b]
