Tonight I got a call out of the blue from a guy that wants to record some stuff in my home studio. I put up ads every once in a while, usually on impulse. Lately, I had been focusing on my band's record and my own songwriting and had put the studio "business" on hold. Anyway, this guy likes what he has heard as far as songs go, obviously because I have zero clients so far.
He wants to sample/loop drums and basically work in a manner that I've never tried, so it will be an adventure. But at least I'll get some beer money...hopefully.
Holy crap - my first paying gig!

You know, Jeff Robinson posted a 45-page contract agreement on the old board, you might want to download it and have it signed by three notary publics before you go any further.
Damn, I just got this thread deleted!
