Ua La 610 or great river me-1nv

Post by keysmia » Sat Jan 21, 2006 7:32 pm

Hey All I just got the ua la 610 and while I like it I am concerned about a few things. I like the fullness and depth but it seems to distort when pushed, especially on vocals. I am not pleased with that distorted tubey sound on a vocal track. Does this thing sound great when set right? I often record vocalists and find it hard to ride the gain during sessions and wind up with this sound. I had a aphex 207 that also did the same. that being said would the great river be a better fool proof choice for tracking vocals? I am running it through a psx 100 with the soft limit will that help?
