Has anyone had any experience in replacing the stock tubes on the La 610? Has it made a difference? and If so what models would you recommend? What were the differences?

Two types I'd always use for audio are RCA and Telefunken. Telefunken tubes are absolutely transparent. Definitely worth the extra cash. The NOS RCA tubes sound great too. Tonal character is decidedly 'rock'. Thick and warm.

I put an NOS pair of GE tubes in the one I used to have, and it sounded much better to me, so I left them in. Then I traded the thing with those tubes in it for a compressor I had been looking for a long time.
