i have a chance at one of these. Looking for opinions if its worthy jump over Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 we have now. THX

Larry does have one of these. They are not the ultimate console but a very solid workhorse. It will get the job done and not much more. But that is all you can ask from a console.
I used to work on a Saber a few times a week and with the right outboard I was happy with the sound that came from it. It has kind of a Vanilla flavor so I had to use micing and outboard to give me the sound I was after. I was also impressed that the thing just worked and worked. It was pretty old and just kept on going.
Definitely worth looking at if you are after something clean and solid.
