To those who are familiar with the EMT 250

Post by i am monster face » Wed Feb 01, 2006 11:54 am

Hi,
I just got my hands on an EMT 250. It's most certainly a cool looking and awesome sounding piece of equipment.

Concerning this issue though, I've done all the googling and search functioning I can handle.

I'm working on creating an extension to replace the cable that the remote uses to make it roughly 150 feet long. Has anyone done this before? It's a five pin XLR. I haven't been able to find any manual or schematics with this piece so I'm not quite sure what kind of cable to buy.

I have some West Penn 357 laying around - a link to the technical sheet can be found here... http://www.westpenn-cdt.com/pdfs/CommCablesPDFs/357.pdf

If anyone has a manual, knows where I can find one, schematic, or even just knows the information, let me know, please. I have been kind of nervous about hooking this cable up without knowing what type of voltage passes where or if I even need a shielded cable.

Thank you for your time,
Ian Aeillo
