Got it off a guy today for $100, full 16 ch board mint condition. Just wondering if I'm better off selling the channel or the board as a whole.

Figure out how to rack mount the individual channels and then sell one to me for $128.50. Repeat as needed.
check out what I did on my Otrari 8 track at

You could also take a bunch of super high rez photos inside and out and sell them on the web as Gear Porn.

Yea Man it is exactly that board. I think I'm going to keep it and use it a summing mixer for Pro Tools. I was a little pissed when I noticed it didn't have direct outs. I was thinking of having it worked on to give me at least 8 direct outs so i could use 8 of the pre's as pre's only. Any opinions?

Fark, I think we had one of these at my music store for $150. I hope it hasn't sold, I'm on it!

Probably very worthwile to put in some direct outputs, but I don't think you'd want to part it out just yet.
The one thing I don't like about the PM-1000 is that the channels are kind of noisy by today's standards. Decent for dynamic mics on louder sources (supposedly great on drums). Probably not very useful with ribbon mics.
