Has anybody actually built and used one of these? It looks like a pretty simple design that wouldn't be too hard to build.

are you going to make a PCB yourself from the design on the page? Or did you buy a kit when they were available?

I just built one in a Hammond BB box to keep in my tool box so I have a comp when I do little live gigs. I built mine on a breadboard which was kinda difficult, and I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner. They sound alright for vocals or maybe bass.
