Looking for 24 track 2" tape studio in San Diego

Post by roy » Thu Feb 16, 2006 6:21 pm

Hello all:

Looking for a studio in San Diego that has a 2" 24 track recorder. I already know about Signature Sound and Studio West. Just looking for something else. Thanks.

sfrecording.com is my personal site, but I work at Sounden Studios in San Clemente (very close to SD.) We have a A827 Gold with less than 150 hours on it, a JH16, Neve 8026 and an API Legacy Plus. We've got more mics than you could ever want to use, including 3 u47s and a u48. Our rooms are all Chris Pelonis designed/built.

Yeah, Big Fish is still around. I guess the owner is about to finally install a Pro Tools rig. I heard the already pricey day rate will increase once it's in.

If you're ever up for a studio with 2" a bit further away, look into del Boca Vista in South Pasadena. 2'' Studer and 1/4" Studer as well with Pro Tools and a modded Amek Einstein.

It's Tracy Chisholm's place. He engineered records for Belly, American Music Club, Scott Weiland, the Devics and many others.
