Melcor Eq-20 and GME-20 EQ pics....Nice Rack!

Post by jrepro » Thu Feb 23, 2006 8:55 pm

This is one of the Melcor EQ-20's that Automatic and I squeezed out of Primal Gear. I decided I would just rack this unit to a face plate. It is really quite small and 2 will easily fit on one plate (anyone got another one for sale? ) These are smooth and Phat. These can take a 18" kick drum and make it sound like a 28" Circus Drum. Just huge, and not flubby. The top end is also smooth and silky, yet still kind of punchy too. Two bands, fixed bottom and 3/5Khz top.

These are the GME-20 EQs in the top of the rack. Two bands also, but adjustable lows and highs both. Killer on Guitars and Sax. These are basically 2 band API 550A's but smoother and a tad bit warmer to me.

See how lonely that Eq-20 is sitting all by itself in that 1U rack plate. It needs a few brothers to join him. Come on, some one must have one for sale on the cheap!
