Anyone familiar with these? How do they compare to the MX-5050? Two-track 1/4" versions...

Hey, I have one of these for use as a mixdown deck but as I haven't worked with it yet so I'm afraid I don't have much info for you. It is my impression that the MX-55N is a SLIGHTLY better machine than the MX 5050. But don't quote me on that. They were designed primarily for broadcast use (but don't quote me on that either) and came in a variety of configurations, some as a tabletop design, some not. There was an option to purchase a rolling rack for the tabletop model as an extra (mine has one), and some came with a time code feature. They come with DOLBY HX pro as NR, and have the option of switching between balanced and unbalanced connections (XLR). Most were set up for NAB as equalization, although some were IEC. The manual for this model is as thick as a book. I also believe they sold new for more than the MX5050. Dates of manufacture were around 1987-early to mid nineties. This is about all I know, hope that it helps a little.
