I just had one of these mics given to me. I know it's successor to the D19 of Beatles fame. How good is the D190 and what would you use it for? Any info would be helpful. I tested it and it works but sounds sort of funky. I have another old funky mic, an EV 660, that I like because of it's funkines. The EV 660 works great for micing guitar cabs for "space-rock" style music. Helps much with crapping out amp sound!

I'm guessing this mic isn't worth my time since no one has posted anything about them...

Try doing a google groups search on rec.audio.pro
They seem to have been recommended for just about everything under the sun, except maybe kick drum.
