Who walks in the door?

Post by Meriphew » Fri Mar 03, 2006 7:21 pm

So I'm at Electrokitty today having Geoff Ott starting mixdowns on my new record, when in through the doors walks David Huber (the author). Kinda funny cause one of his books was right there in the control room. I guess he had borrowed a mic from them or something.

So far so good. It has a nice laid back feel, and lots of nice gear.

my current band did our first demo at Electrokitty.

nice room... not the largest studio in Seattle, but like Meriphew said, very laid-back and homey.

The outboard kicks ass, and the console... mm, the console.

pretty cool how it was built downward into the foundation that way.

That studio is beautiful. I work with Gary's (the owner) wife on various web projects and told her I was going to leave my family and quit my business and move up there to become Gary's slave. I guess the city has been giving them a hard time about zoning and parking issues due to the way the studio was built. It was sounding like they'd have to do some major overhauls to appease the city. That would suck hard.
