CAIKLEEN SHELF LIFE?

Post by thepsychedelicdollhouse » Tue Feb 08, 2022 4:34 pm

I've used this product successfully over the years in maintaining my pinch roller.
After a fairly long quiet period I'm back into recording and wonder if I should still use it.
It's been sitting on a shelf for at least 5 years.
Thx in advance for any advice.

Not sure what that is, but you probably need to buy a fresh one. Chemical mixtures tend to break down after a few years.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

The only thing I have ever used to 'maintain' the pinch rollers on my reel-to-reel decks over the years is mild soap and water. Pinch rollers on cassette decks are more difficult to remove, hence the array of chemical solutions. All I can say is "milder is better" when it comes to cleaning pinch rollers.
