tt patchbay - wiring, duty cycle, ground bus?

Post by carter » Fri Apr 28, 2006 8:28 am

I've bought a tt patchbay with the back in a very raw state. If I intend to use it primarily to patch unbalanced signals do I need to bother creating a ground buss. If I do, could someone fill me in on how you do this - is it just one cable soldered to each terminal on a ll 96 channels and then mounted onto the frame?
Also, in doing research I have heard the term "duty cycle" in regard to how raw the rear of a patchbay is. Anyone have a good explanation of Duty cycle?
thanks.
