serious chunks. I've taken to using google's "advanced search" feature and restricting it to the tapeop.com domain. That works much better than the one here. Just don't do it in China.

Add site:messageboard.tapeop.com to your search query. Or go into Advanced Search and specify the domain in the field provided.

Holy crap!
I just did a test, searched for "xy site:tapeop.com" (since the PHP search engine hates 2 character search terms):
557 results!

That's a good tip. But now what are we going to gripe about?

"restricting it to the tapeop.com domainTFSF" doesn't quite have the same ring to it does it?

pardon my nerd but this isn't tape op or hillary's fault - it's a limitation of PHPBB that at this point, will likely never be changed. Something to do with the way it stores posts in the database...
perhaps tomb 5.0 will use vanilla, punBB or wpbb. they are lovely and sleek code wise with about 1/2 the page weight (half the bandwidth bill).
will

I've been noticing when you browse through the search results, it doesn't highlight the search term anymore, although the tag to do it is still in the address. That was a pretty useful feature. I'm off to try to google trick you talked about....

Mine still works (highlighting terms), although I've had that happen in the past.
