Studio Z Recording Studios is a unique, professional recording studio located in Milwaukee WI. Studio Z features 2" Analog recording on the mighty 3M M79 24 trk recorder. Digital via Spectral AudioEngine (yes, yes we're getting protools HD soon) and features all the classics like Neumann mics, pultec eqs, Teletronix/Universal Audio compressors. Neve, API, Telefunken preamps etc. and newer gear as well like the Waves L2. Mixing is on an automated 44 input Allen & Heath. We're in the process of finding a new console suggestions are welcome.

The Studio is located on the top floor of a completely restored 100 year old building in historic Lincoln Village 2 minutes south of downtown and 10 minutes from the General Mitchell International Airport

The decor is clean and modern while retaining the old world character of the building. It's like having a comfortable hotel suite with private kitchen,lounge,cableTV/VCR/DVD, bathroom and oh yeah there's a killer recording studio too with lots of vibe, good acoustics even a couple live reverb chambers .

In house amps/guitars/grand piano/keyboards/artist controlled headphone mixers are also available at no extra cost. OK piano tuning is $90

Studio Owner/Engineer/Producer Brad Zwieg has over 20 years experience as a musician and recording engineer and has a easy going, honest and constructive style and strives to make each session a success for the client.
Rates are reasonable, there will always be someone cheaper but you get what you pay for!
