Just got a cool Fender oil can delay from our friends at The Bunker. The date on the flywheel is 1968. Needs some TLC but it does work, and I can make it better.

Got a pair of Eckmiller W86a passive shelves on the way. They'll go in a rack next to the Telefunken W383/384 active shelves I got from Studio G. It's a pity they won't fit in the console like my Spectra Sonics 500 passives, but the German form factor is just too big. I like old EQ's...

I finally got #2 plate (EMT 140) working last weekend too. So that's not a new piece of gear, but it has turned from a 400lb. coat rack into useable gear recently. And if I ever get that special back ordered switch, then the Optigan rebuild can finally be considered finished and I can load that in the live room for the first time. Keyboard number 15 for Clava Studio...
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??

AT4040; loving it!

Pathfinder: a fun little amp; I was jonesing for some good tremelolololo. (This has the Pathfinder on both sides with a Tele, SM58 and VTB1; vox with the AT4040 into a Meek VC3q.)

Danelectro Fab Echo: a kind of subtle, one-trick echo thing that I might eventually mod to add a variable delay, or not. (It's on the G&L F100-Marshall-AT4040 lead track on the song linked above.)

Boss CE2 chorus: I don't really like chorus on electric guitar, but...

A brass slide: I used it on this (which is public domain), with an Ibanez lawsuit gold-top through a silver Jubilee into an NOS R2 ribbon and a VTB1, and vocals through the AT4040 into the VC3q; I'll probably remix it...

If the local music stores used that as the price tag, that would cure my gear acquisition syndrome!

I've got a few good deals lately!
Man I love Craig's List!!!!!

VOX Super Beatle for $500. It's loaded with 4 JMI silver bell alnico speakers.

2 Sennheiser 421's for $300. Their the older U 5 mics.

Epiphone Acoustic for $100 (Ebay). It's a mid seventies model and it's sweet.

Sony SRA-3 stereo tube pre for $150 (Ebay). These things are crazy good.
Now I have four channels....I guess that's enough.

Just got a Chandler TG Channel. Killer EQ. Been really digging the Heil PR-30 I got. And my Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor finally showed up a few months ago. I mixed a record with it last week and it rules. Still lusting for some TAB Funkenwerk V72s. If anyone knows someone selling, let me know....

<-------------I'm leaning on it!
Platesonics Cathedral Plate Reverb.

Also, I got a cool pedal called the Home Brew Electronics CPR (ComPressor Retro)
Man, I leave that thing in my signal chain pretty much all the time now. Good squish, no tone loss.

I finally made the leap from "some speakers" to Tapco S8s. They sound beyond awesome, but they are really big.

Last night, I listened to Spoon's Camera song. Wow, that is the most amazing kick drum sound I've ever heard. It sounded like it was in the room with me. I could almost see it.

I got a Soundcraft TS24 for a grand and two Symetrix 501s for $100. Spent another grand on cabling and another grand on top of that for tech work.[/i]

Alesis Quadraverb (plus) and a TC M300. Trying to climb back out of the box a little, commit to sounds earlier and finish songs. Liking the Quad in the effects loop of my Ampeg VL-503. Haven't played with the M300 for more than about 45 minutes so far. That was also in the effects loop but I don't think I would choose it for that application normally. Anxious to rig it up via s/pdif > motu 828 for a hardware send. Also picked up a digitech RDS 1900. More realtime knob twiddling fun. I like boxes without menus and data displays. Quadraverb is kind of a bitch that way.
