My buddies car was broken into while he was hanging out at my place (in Boston) last night. Along with a bunch of CDs and papers they stole an:

Intermark Cipher Bass

I don't know the serial number, and I'll ask him, but there can't be too many of those going around.

I posted a few years back with a full list, but I had some mics (like 15) stolen when my friends studio was robbed.

If anyone sees or has bought the following please let me know:
1 beyer m380 black engraved with disney (this was from a lot of six so there are legit disney ones out there too. I got another so whatever.

1 797 audio CR1-76 tube mic. I still have the PSU so this is fairly useless to someone else. I would love to get this back and will pay for it. It is part of a pair and while not blow you away material was pretty sweet in a lot of spots. Does not say 797 audio--just cr1-76 with a few chinese characters.

I had my Fender Stratocaster (MIJ) stolen last saturday 8/30/08 after a gig at Zebulon in Brooklyn. I play live maybe 2 or 3 times a year, and gear never gets stolen there, but it happened to me. I set it aside on the stage in it's gigbag case (basic black with a "30th Street Guitars" imprint on the bottom pocket), as I went to help other band members load their gear back into various vehicles. Came back in, the other band had started playing and I didn't think much of it, I trusted it was back there somewhere. It was crazy busy in there, but only later did I notice it was gone. Sigh...

Sadly I do not have the serial number, but a brief description:

Fender Strat MIJ - 57' reissue
Black body
White pickguard (slightly warped on top, it sticks out a little as a screw is missing)
Maple neck
Maple Fretboard
Pickup selector switch is missing the white peg
back plate is missing, springs exposed.

Can't think of anything other details about it.
It's a long shot but I just noticed this sticky and figured why not post.

Thanks

My gifted friend and one-time bandmate, Anne Adams, had a big chunk of her live set-up stolen from her car this weekend in Portland, Oregon:
Monday, October 20, 2008

Stolen Gear. I am so, so sad.

It was a weekend of parties.

Of parties, and dropping off people at places.

And somehow, an unlocked car door.

And, hence, a missing...

1) Off-white/yellow Luna hollow-body electric guitar with f-holes in a black case with a red Where The Wild Things Are monster sewn on it.

2) Busted up accordion with one brown tooth, and one wire-fixed strap. Blue straps. A busted case with blue velvet inside that says the following on one side in gold ink: "She seemed to throw off heat like a big iron radiator. She was appallingly human."

3) Boss 20 looping pedal--originally in a gold-and-white checked square zip-up cosmetic case.

4) bag of cords, with stickers with my face on them (so they wouldn't get lost.) Bag is blue and white zip-up with blue handles and kittens on it.

5) Pretty busted Shure microphone.

If you want, pass this along to other Portland music people. And if you see these instruments or their cases, or if somebody tries to consign them, I guess call cops. And email me.

Can't play now. Feel very stupid, and so, so, sad.

~Anne.

Myspace
Anne is an immense talent who is now stuck without her crucial music making things. I am imploring folks in these parts who skim eBay, Craigslist and the pawn shops to keep a sharp eye out for her stuff. I really hope she can get it back.

Car broken into, some gear stolen

Post by adadan » Thu Aug 20, 2009 10:38 am

Carmichael, CA (outside Sacramento). Last night my car was broken into and some gear stolen:

Pair of TnC "group buy" ACM-310 small diaphragm tube condensers, in full cases w/power supplies, shock mounts, etc.,

Misc. bag of 6-7 mic stands, best of them were a DR Pro small/short boom stand, and a couple of QuikLok boom stands

Box full of all kinds of mic clips and windscreens (this hurts, because some of my unusual clips were in there--EV 310's, etc.,) plus about three or four short mic adapter cables with 4-pin male (Shure Unidyne III type) amphenol connectors to XLR male

Modded MXL 990/MXL 991 kit with the logo partially steel-wooled off the 991 body

Electronics repair tool kit (Boxer multi bit/screwdriver sets, wire cutters, needlenose, etc.), plus vintage green hammerite paint metal box full of electronics cleaning chemicals (Caig Deoxit, Faderlube, etc.)

Torche's gear stolen in Chicago

Torche's gear stolen in Chicago....

No personal connection with these guys, but fucking LOVE this band. This really sucks. Chicago peeps be on the look out. Pretty sure they use Electrical Guitar Co. axes, and Verrellin amps.

I was going to post something about this. I don't see how someone pulled this off. It's depressing seeing that outboard rack just cleaned out. I haven't seen a list of what was stolen, but keep your eyes open.
