This is a really good point, Sky. I seem to have the best luck cutting two octaves above where the fundamental buildup occurs, if taking a bit of the fundamental out thins out the sound too much. You can usually hear another resonance at this frequency anyway. Good call!

..it works pretty well with more extreme eq that is, on a snare that has that freaking ringing that makes you want to ..you know..overall makes stuff sound more natural and fixes the problem at the same time.. _________________ check out my new record
